The "Dragon Ball Super 123" just proved that Jiren is simply the most powerful opponent Goku and his team ever faced in the present.

In the last episode, the final showdown between the two surviving groups: Universe 7, consisting of its remaining members Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Frieza, and Android 17 versus Universe 11 consisting of Jiren, Toppo, and Dypso.

The advantage looked to be in Universe 7 because of their numbers, but Universe 11's fighters were easily more powerful, with Jiren immediately having the upper hand against Goku and Vegeta. Gohan and Android 17 struggled to mount an offense against Toppo, whose sheer strength kept the two at bay. Dypso managed to dodge every single one of Frieza's attacks due to his speed and even managed to drag him around by the tail.

Vegeta was finally able to land two hits against Jiren after memorizing the latter's attack pattern, he was even able to hit him for a third time with his Final Flash move, but it was simply brushed off by Jiren, incapacitating Vegeta with a blast of his own.

Jiren commends the fallen Vegeta, calling him a warrior, but urges him to stay down. Meanwhile, Frieza surprised Dypso by emerging from the latter's attack unharmed, but is still unable to hit his opponent with something.

Gohan and Android 17 finally come up with a plan to knock Toppo out of the ring. The android let Toppo grab him on purpose so he can trap him inside his energy shield, which gave Gohan an opening to blast them both away, but the force of Gohan's Kamehameha wasn't enough to completely knock back their opponent, who managed to stay just a few inches from the edge of the arena, preventing elimination.

It was Goku's turn to step up, cleverly setting up explosive traps on the ground using instant transmission so that his opponent wouldn't notice. Jiren steps on one of them, causing the area he was standing on to explode, but was still managed to jump out of danger and engage Goku.

The Saiyan somehow managed to kick Jiren out of the ring, but the latter was immediately able to make it back by stepping on falling debris. The two go at it again, but this time Jiren powered up, further widening their gap in strength.

Goku and Vegeta's resolve didn't waver, though, and the two of them also powered up after vowing to defeat Jiren, with Vegeta managing to break through his current limit as Super Saiyan Blue. Both of them were finally able to launch a significant assault on their opponent, with Piccolo noticing that the two managed to take Jiren off his rhythm.

The preview for next week's episode show's Gohan teaming up with Frieza to fight Dypso and is titled "The Fiercely Overwhelming Assault! Gohan's Last Stand!"
