"Dragon Ball Fusions" for the Nintendo 3DS has been scheduled to launch on Dec. 13 this year. It will be one of the few new games in the series that is not a straight-up fighting game. However, Bandai Namco has announced that the launch date in the US has now been moved up to next week.

According to Saiyan Island, the game is now going to launch on Nov. 22. This will make the game release almost a month early in North America. However, the game is still scheduled to launch in February 2017 in Europe. It is still possible that the European port will also get its launch date moved up within the next few weeks.

In a report by Techno Buffalo, it is possible that the game is launching early due to the success of "Pokémon Sun and Moon." The developers reportedly stated that "Dragon Ball Fusions" was inspired by the "Pokémon" franchise more so than fighting games, and the developers may be riding on the success of "Pokémon Sun and Moon," which also launched this week.

By launching the game on Nov. 22, it will also beat the holiday rush. Given that Black Friday will follow in a few days after the game's release, it is possible that it will see more copies sold than previously expected. This is if the game is sold at a reasonable discount for the Black Friday weekend.

"Dragon Ball Fusions" allows players to create their own avatar and explore the vast world of the franchise, crafting their own story in the game.

The main draw of the game is that players can perform fusions with just about any other character, something that has not been seen in the manga and anime given that fusions are supposed to be between compatible participants. One example in the game is a fusion between Goku and Broly.

"Dragon Ball Fusions" will roll out on the 3DS on Nov. 22.
