"The Taken King" expansion for "Destiny" continues to make big changes to the game, this time in the form of drastically altering the equipment, exotics, and storage systems players have become familiar with.
Starting off with arguably the most significant change and one that numerous players have been clamoring for ever since "Destiny" was first released — the game's vault has now been made bigger. Its size has doubled, in fact, with 72 slots now available for weapons and 72 more slots that can be used to store different pieces of armor, according to Polygon. Other kinds of equipment that do not fall under these two classifications will now be placed into their own kind of storage.
Changes are also being made to the exotics that are inside "Destiny." With the arrival of "The Taken King" expansion, exotics will now be arranged inside a new system that will be known as exotic blueprints. The implementation of the new system will now make it easier for players to gain access back to exotics they may have already found previously while playing "Destiny."
A new mechanic also being introduced via "The Taken King" expansion will also allow players to gain back a piece of exotic equipment they may have unintentionally lost by simply paying a visit to the Tower's Hall of Guardians and using Glimmer and an Exotic Shard.
Significant changes are also being made to numerous pieces of equipment inside "Destiny," according to The Verge. The stats for several weapons and pieces of armor that are found inside the game will be changed once "The Taken King" arrives, meaning players will have a whole lot of adjusting to do once those changes are implemented.
"The Taken King" expansion will also affect class items and Ghost Shells inside the game, with those items now also making a difference in terms of the player's stats.
"The Taken King" expansion for "Destiny" will be available starting Sept. 15.
