'Destiny 2' news, updates: Bungie promises bigger rewards, new weapons, others

Bungie recently announced huge changes for "Destiny 2." Bungie Website

Game developer Bungie promises more rewards, a new weapon class, and other incentives to players of "Destiny 2."

Online multiplayer first-person shooter video game "Destiny 2" recently released a free trial on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. The game trial received varying feedbacks as many gamers complained about its experience point system. It is also said that gamers quickly lost their interest in the game since it is easy to achieve the maximum level.

In response to this, game developer Bungie tackled the issue head-on. According to reports, experience points are tweaked and the game is extended until December -- or even beyond. There are also big rewards that veteran players can enjoy, including Masterworks weapon tier, which provides armaments random bonuses, stat trackers, and many other perks.

In addition, players can also get the Heroic Strikes playlist. This gives more generous Strike rewards, armor ornaments, and more ways to use the legendary shards. Players can buy gifts as an extra reward to those who can complete a particular activity. Xur offers new stocks where players can spend their legendary shards. New interesting items from Lord Shaxx and Zavala are also available.

Another good news for players is the improvement of underperforming exotic weapons. The mod system also gives opportunities to buy legendary mods. Also available are more armor ornaments like the Vanguard ornaments, Trials of the Nine Ornaments, Iron Banner Ornaments, and Faction ornaments, among others.

Bungie also promises better rewards for Crucible, Strikes, and Prestige activities. However, it is not yet clear how the rewards for these activities will be improved. There are indeed many changes in "Destiny 2" that are expected to impress veteran players of the game.

"Destiny 2" is the sequel of the original "Destiny" game. It was first released on Sept. 6. Its first downloadable content, "Destiny: Curse of Osiris," is set to release in December this year. A second release is expected in early 2018.
