After the epic conclusion of "Darksiders 2," players can now have a sneak peek at the other events that occurred during the battle against the seven deadly sins and their hordes of demonic beings.
Following THQ Nordic's the official announcement made for "Darksiders 3" back in May, the Austria-based video game company has released the official gameplay footage for the action-adventure game.
The footage shows action sequences of the player-controlled Fury, one of the horsemen of the apocalypse and the first female protagonist in the series. The video partly reveals the setting of the game, showing an enormous, blazing cavern, among many others.
The video also gives players a preview of how the combat system will work with Fury, who uses a whip as her weapon of choice. It will enable her to attack through hordes of enemies, as well as climb and swing from one place to another.

The events of "Darksiders 3" will parallel the occurrences in the first two games. It will follow the female protagonist as she battles several armies of demons in an apocalyptic, war-torn Earth.
As with the previous "Darksider"games, the player will have their hands full exploring an open-ended world filled with dungeons, secret locations and dozens of enemies.
In addition to close range combat and acrobatic maneuvers, Fury will also be equipped with many magical abilities that would give her better chances of survival, such as conjuring other special weapons and teleportation to help her navigate the world easier.
Following the previous games, "Darksiders 3" will have its own power-up system. Players will be free to choose which area of the skill-tree they would like to focus on, with each configuration giving the players several advantages — and disadvantages as they play on.
"Darksiders 3" will be released for Playstation 4, PC and Xbox One in 2018.
