"Daredevil" season 3 was confirmed back in July, but it won't be airing until Netflix has launched "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage," and "The Defenders." When it does come back, fans of the series will be seeing more of Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), as the actor confirmed that he is returning to reprise the role.

Speaking to the Latino Review, D'Onofrio pointed out that he is going to reprise the role, but he couldn't confirm that his next appearance would be in "Daredevil" season 3, hinting he may first appear as a guest on "Defenders," where Charlie Cox will also appear as Daredevil, or the other Netflix–Marvel series.

"That I can't answer. I do know, but I can't answer so take that how you will," he explained.

D'Onofrio did state that "Daredevil" star Charlie Cox and Marvel Television executive Jeff Loeb were both fans of his portrayal of the character, and he explained that the people behind the show were all clever and would be able to properly write in the Kingpin when needed. He also explained that he isn't contracted to return but would gladly reprise the role whenever Loeb asked him.

"There's no giant commitment for me at 'Daredevil.' Like I didn't have to sign my life away. I'm going to do everything I can because the writing is so good," he stated.

The actor's statements indicate that he may be appearing in a show prior to "Daredevil" season 3, such as "Defenders" or "Iron Fist." Games Radar pointed out that, when he does come back it, is likely that his name will not appear in the opening credits of the episode as a means to surprise fans, similar to how he reprised his role in "Daredevil" season 2 episode 8.

"Daredevil" season 3 is expected to premiere in late 2018 or early 2019.
