Casting rumors for "Dancing With the Stars" started even before season 21 ended. Now, those rumors have intensified as the new season of the dance competition is set to arrive in a couple of months.

According to the latest buzz, season 21 winner, Bindi Irwin's brother, Robert has been considered as part of the next season's cast. The news came from Celeb Dirty Laundry, which reported that the siblings' mother, Terri, teased that producers are eyeing the 11-year-old.

Speaking to Australia's Today Show, Robert expressed that it would be a "fun" and "pretty incredible" thing to do. He also went on to explain how different it would be if he were to join the dance competition.

"For us this is completely different from anything we have ever done – I mean we are certainly not used to all of these sparkles and rhinestones and heels so it's a really different situation to jumping on crocs and catching snakes in the mud," he said.

If Robert would really join in the next season of "Dancing With the Stars," it will make him the youngest competitor in the show.

Apart from Robert, National Football League (NFL) star Rashad Jennings was also rumored to join the show. "Chasing Life" actress Italia Ricci was also included in the rumor mill after she tweeted that former contestant Alexa Vega tried to convince her to join the ABC series.

At this point, nothing has been confirmed when it comes to "Dancing With the Stars" season 22's cast. What's definite is that the new season will premiere on Mar. 21, with Len Goodman returning to join the panel of judges composed of Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, and Bruno Tonioli.

Tom Bergeron will also be back to present the show. The big question now is on who will be the next celebrity to win the coveted mirror ball trophy after Bindi Irwin.

Tune in to ABC on Mar. 21 at 8 p.m. EST for the premiere of "Dancing With the Stars" season 22.
