Charlie White leads Dancing with the Stars 2014 leaderboard in Week 1 with 27 pts

Charlie White and Sharna Burgess ABC

A brand new revamped season of Dancing with the Stars kicked off last night with a star-studded cast and pro-dancers.

The show opened with a performance by Jason Derulo and new host Erin Andrews alongside Tom Bergeron.

Ray Chew, the musical director for "American Idol", replaced Harold Wheeler as director of the DWTS orchestra.

The 12 contestants and pro-dancers performed in front of veteran judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Olympic ice dancing champion Charlie White and Sharna Burgess are in the lead with 27 points after last night's Contemporary dance performance to Passenger's hit "Let it Go." Judges called the performance the perfect dance for him. "It was poetry in motion," Inaba said.

Legendary actor Billy Dee Williams landed at the bottom of the table after his Star Wars themed Cha Cha Cha performance with Emma Slater. The 77-year-old was stiff and judges Goodman and Inaba said he needs to come out with a little more next week.

Voting is now open to keep your favorite dancing duo on the show. To vote online, users must create and sign into an ABC account.
