CSW Names New Honorary President

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) has announced its new Honorary President this week to be Jonathan Aitken.

The former Cabinet Minister, who is also an author, journalist and graduate in theology, brings with him a "wealth of experience which will be useful to CSW", a press release explains.

Aitkin currently enjoys wide recognition and support in the church. In the last few years his reflective writings on the psalms and other autobiographical works have established him as a popular Christian writer.

The new Honorary President has served on CSW's Board of Reference for a number of years and spoken at many events and conferences on behalf of the organisation. Jonathan has also taken part in CSW fact-finding visits to China and Laos.
