Meanwhile, it seems that major announcements – maybe including release schedules – are on their way, as "Crackdown 3" is said to be one of the major showcases at this year's E3.
IGN underscores that fans have been looking forward to "Crackdown 3" ever since Microsoft announced the game. However, the latest that the game was seen was at the Gamescom 2015. According to the industry follower, since the multiplayer feature of the game is bound to come out later this year, it is expected that the game will have a major presence at this year's E3.
The observer also said that Microsoft may even announce a playable demo for fans, since one of the biggest selling points of the series is its fully destructible environments. Fans have already seen glimpses of how this feature works in "Crackdown 3," and a playable demo will capitalize on the title's success particularly since it is coming out soon.
Although Microsoft has yet to confirm the showcase will come with a demo, a playable version is certainly plausible. "Crackdown 3" already has its demo version sampled by some fans months ago, as participants of a recent Xbox MVP Summit tried their hands on the game. Feedback was mostly positive, with some praising the gameplay and mechanics of the multiplayer version, and others took note of the current installment staying true to the "fully destructible environments" feature of the "Crackdown" series.
Meanwhile, as for its release date, the summer 2016 schedule is just for the multiplayer edition. Reportedly, "Crackdown 3" will also have its story line, but the version will come much later. In addition, it is unclear if the multiplayer part will be a stand-alone game or a beta test.
