'Clash Royale' September 2016 news and updates: Balance changes and new features added; Legendary and Epic chests can now be purchased for a limited time

"Clash Royale," the "Clash of Clan"-based PvP game, will be getting a major update this month, according to Supercell. Clash Royale Official website

Fans have been quite worried about the state of the mobile game "Clash Royale" since it seemed to have started losing its appeal for some of its former players. However, the next update for this game is almost out, and it is good to see that it will feature some bug fixes to the issues hampering the game. Additionally, the update will also contain balancing changes to make the game more stable for the players.

According to NeuroGadget, Supercell has taken notice of the lack of usage of the spells like Mirror, Rage, and Lightning. As such, these spells will receive a buff with a reduced cost and animation to make it more usable for players.

Furthermore, the Giant and Bomber units will be nerfed in turn, lowering their damage capabilities to balance them out. However, the latter will also receive a slight reduction of hitpoints, which will certainly affect its effectiveness in battle.

New features to be added to the game will include Legendary and Epic chests, and it has been confirmed that the former will cost 500 gems and the latter will be priced at 10,000 gold. These chests will contain legendary and epic cards, but they are only available for a short period of time, so players should save up now to get the chance of grabbing the chests before they are gone.

Gotta Be Mobile further expands the September Update for "Clash Royale," and aside from the above-mentioned improvements, another feature to be updated for this update is the tournament. Tournaments will be re-worked in a pretty big way that players will be able to appreciate it more. The update will also address the complaints of the game being broken.

Regardless, the developers still hope that this big update will give the game another chance with its declining player base.
