'Clash of Clans' March update: Dark Elixir troop, Ice Mage releasing soon?

Supercell's hit game "Clash of Clans" recently received a small game update, but now a new one is set to arrive next month.

The new big update follows the December update that introduced Town Hall 11 and a third hero. Supercell is now set to release the new update in March, which is expected to feature new troops and more improvements.

The official Facebook page of the game dropped a teaser video on Feb. 8, stating that there will be a worldwide launch for iOS and Android this March and it all refers to the upcoming "Clash Royale."

The "Clash of Clans" Facebook page administrator has also been active about spilling some details and addressing rumors about the game. For instance, it was revealed that the game might feature a new troop but it certainly "won't be a Muskeeter." Responding to a fan query, the "Clash of Clans" official page wrote, "Hi Zak! We're indeed working on a new troop, but it won't be Musketeer from Clash Royale."

The official page also revealed that the developers are working on an update for TH10. A Dark Elixir troop may be on the way as TH10 is the "first TH level that doesn't have its own DE troop."

In relation to this, there was a leak report posted on Supercell's forum stating that game files contained sounds for the Ice Mage. Speculations point to the arrival of the Ice Mage, believed to have the ability to freeze anything within its range.

"Clash of Clans" is still one of the hottest and most downloaded mobile games today despite rumors that it will be shut down soon. The official page also addressed this rumor and dismissed it as an "early April Fool's joke" considering that the team is already planning for the update.

Fans are already excited what the game will offer next. An exact release date for the game update has yet to be announced, but more news from Supercell should drop in the coming days.
