"Civilization VI" has been praised by fans and critics alike since it was released last month. The game is innovative and insightful, yet it is still accessible to newcomers. Playing it can prove to be quite difficult, but cheats and tricks have been discovered that can make it easier.

One daunting task in the game is map exploration. This task is time-consuming, and it can burn out resources and Scouts. This, however, can be worked around with a simple cheat. In order to the said cheat, the console command must first be enabled in the game.

According to Ecumenical Times, to enable the console command, players should first find the game's config.ini file and open it with Notepad. Once the file is open, the player should search for the DebugPane line and change its value from zero to one. After doing so, the changes made to the file should be saved. The next time the game runs, the player can use the console by pressing the tilde key on the keyboard.

GameFAQs shows that if the player cannot find the config.ini file, another method is to go to My Documents and search for the "Civilization VI" folder. Inside is an AppOptions file that can be opened with Notepad. Once the file is open, the player must find the Enable Debug line and change the value from zero to one to enable the console command.

When playing the game, the player must then open the console with the tilde key and then enter the cheat "Reveal All." If the code is entered correctly, the entire game map will be unlocked.

It is also revealed that accessing the "Buildings" and "Civics" files in the Steam directory of the game can remove enemy city defenses. The "Buildings" file has two values labeled OuterDefenseHitPoints and OuterDefenseStrength and both can be altered.

If their values are changed to zero, then the building defenses will be reduced. In the "Civics" file, the player needs to change the "DefenseValue" from 200 to zero to reduce enemy wall defenses.
