Cindy Jacobs prays for people 'lost in Islam' to know Jesus before they become terrorists

Just how can people change the course of terrorism?

Christian author and prayer leader Cindy Jacobs recalled the recent Chattanooga attack that claimed the lives of four Marines and one Navy sailor. The shooter, identified as 24-year-old Muslim immigrant Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, also died in the attack.

Jacobs said some people still could not understand how and why a personable, educated young man such as Abdulazeez, a devout Muslim, could commit such a heinous crime. Jacobs said Abdulazeez's trip to Jordan to visit relatives might have contributed to his radicalisation.

"Many cases have one common thread — visits to the Middle East, then returning to the United States and planning or committing acts of terror. Military personnel have been warned by intelligence agencies that they may be specific targets of terrorism," she said in elijahlist.com.

Jacobs is thankful to God that some terror plots were thwarted or did not take place.

She urged people nevertheless to pray for an end to the scourge of terrorism and for the lives snuffed out or affected by the demonic forces who engage in this barbaric act.

"This is the year when God will give His people the chance to recalibrate in the midst of what will seem to be a whirlwind year. To recalibrate means to correct in mid-course, modify, amend, change, metamorphose, renovate, transform or turn," she said.

Through prayer, Jacobs is confident that "people change the course of terrorism in our nation."

Likewise, through prayers, the families of those who lost their lives due to terrorism will find comfort in God's love, she said.

She also sought prayers for God to expose every Muslim who travels to the Middle East and back in the United States as a radicalised jihad. She prays that the FBI agents would be able to identify them so that further terrorist activities will be put to a stop.

Lastly, Jacobs wants to pray for those who are "lost in Islam" to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour "before the enemy's lies destroy any more of them by turning them into weapons of war."
