Christian Charity Celebrates as Lent Resource CD Sells in Bulk

|TOP|CARE, the Christian social concern charity has announced its delight at the success of a new CD entitled ‘Purify’, with nearly 10,000 copies already sent out to churches and supporters since its initial launch a month ago.

The CD had been released to focus on the period of Lent, and contains songs written and performed by Graham Kendrick.

CARE explained that the CD “can be used as a journey of reflection and meditation to help Christians experience the grace and forgiveness of God afresh.”

Some churches have ordered the CD in bulk quantity and handed them out to their congregations.

The former General Director of the Evangelical Alliance, Clive Calver, who is now a Pastor at Walnut Hill Church in Illinois, ordered 750 copies for his congregation alone.

|AD|Calver stated, “I am thrilled to have this unique resource. We will be using it in this Lenten period in preparation for Easter.”

The General Director of CARE, Nola Leach said, “’Purify’ takes us through eight steps to find a fresh experience of God’s total forgiveness, cleansing and grace, overcoming the sin that is common to us all. It is our prayer that this resource will be in the hands of every Christian in the UK.”

Other CARE supporters of the CD have said, “The beauty of the songs is that they are so apt for the prodigal. I am sure the Lord will use this to convict and restore.”

Lent commenced on March 1st and continues for 40 days leading up to Easter.
