Pop singer Chris Brown was released Monday morning from Los Angeles County Jail.
Following his release, the singer tweeted, "Humbled and blessed", followed by "Back to the Music and the Fans," and lastly, "Thank you GOD."
Brown had been in and out of jail and rehab for several months following an October 2013 assault charge.
On October 27, Brown was arrested for striking a man outside the W Hotel in Washington D.C. The victim and a male friend attempted to get in a picture Brown was taking with female fans, and the singer and his bodyguard accosted the men.
The 25-year-old was still on probation from the 2009 felonious assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna, and entered a rehab facility immediately after being released from jail for the D.C. assault. Less than two weeks later, however, Brown was kicked out of rehab after another violent outburst.
His mother, Joyce Hawkins, was participating in a family therapy session, and told the counselor that her son should remain in rehab longer than he wanted to. Brown was seeking a faster release due to having limited access to phones. After his mom's statement, "Mr. Brown proceeded to walk outside and pick up a rock and threw it through his mother's car window and shattered it," the rehab facility told the court.
"We discharged him from residential treatment and told him he could leave immediately as he had signed a non-violent contract when he enrolled."
Brown was ordered to a 90-day anger management rehab, which he completed. The singer was not released, however, as the judge in the Rihanna case mandated that he remain in treatment until an April 23 hearing. He was kicked out of that facility on March 14 for undisclosed reasons, and taken to the Los Angeles County Jail, where he remained until this morning.
The California rehab stays and jail sentences stemmed from probation violations in the Rihanna case, and the Grammy Award-winning artist has not yet faced trial for the D.C. assault.
