The Chargers sit at the bottom of the AFC West after starting the season 2-6. The Denver Broncos are at the top of the division with a 7-1 record after losing their first game of the season on Sunday. The Oakland Raiders are second on .500 with 4-4, where as the Kansas City Chief are 3-5 and will be the first target for the Chargers as they look to string some wins together in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, even though the Chicago Bears are a terrible 2-5 they are not in the basement of the NFC North. Their 2-5 record is enough for third place in the division which has the Detroit Lions at the bottom on 1-7. At the top of the division things are tight with the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings tied on 6-2.

The Chargers will hope to continue their good pass game tonight. Up until this point in the season they have averaged 336.9 yards per game in the air, however, they have struggled on the ground where they average just 86.4 yards per game.

In comparison, the Bears have struggled in the air, going just 223.1 yards per game on the pass. On the rush though they have at least averaged more than 100 yards, and have put on 109.9 yards per game coming into Week 9.

Philip Rivers has been solid for the Chargers for a lot of this season, and he is 243 of 348 throws for 2,753 yards and 18 touchdowns.

In comparison, Jay Cutler of the Bears is 128 of 207 for 1,442 yards and 8 touchdowns up until this point in the season.
