Only perhaps once in a blue moon can one get the chance to try and drive a new and upcoming car like the 2016 Chevrolet Volt and such was the case for this Canadian who shared his driving experience over at the GM-Volt.com forum.
The person who goes by the handle "Kickincanada" was fortunate enough to get the chance to drive the said electric vehicle, thanks mainly to connections he has over at General Motors Ohsawa.
Based on his experience, the 2016 Chevy Volt seems to be in all a pleasant experience. Being an electric car, the vehicle is good for a range of 53 miles, although Kickincanada feels that it could go beyond that at 62.
Now being an electric car, some folks may play with the notion of discomfort in ride and, of course, inside. Being an electric vehicle, there could be some stuff found in usual gas-powered vehicles not present in General Motor's EV. But it seems that wasn't the case at all for the lucky driver, who practically generalized the experience as overall efficient and, of course, pleasant.
After taking the 2016 Chevy Volt for a spin for about 30 minutes, he sums it up as a ride that felt more like driving a Cadillac than a Chevrolet. Aside from that, it looks like the interiors are equally impressive, not to mention the technology add-ons such as Apple Carplay and wireless charging for folks who want to keep their devices juiced up.
So from the looks of it, the 2016 Chevrolet Volt has improved a lot in terms of performance and aesthetics. The seats are said to have improved to account for a lush and smooth driving experience, including backseats with heating options.
Kickincanada's evaluation may not be the same as others' but taking it all in perspective, it seems that the 2016 Chevrolet Volt carries a big improvement from its predecessor. Will it be worth the buy?
