"Captain America: Civil War" will premiere in May next year, and as previously reported, the film will feature a conflict between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). The source of the dispute is the Superhero Registration Act, with the Captain opposing it and Iron Man supporting it. The two will be joined by other superheroes as they choose sides, but where does Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) figure in this?
The last time fans saw the character in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," she lost her brother but the Avengers took her in and they now consider her part of the family. Speaking to MTV News at the Toronto International Film Festival, Olsen gave some insight into how her character is coping with all the changes happening in her life.
"She's OK," the actress said of Scarlet Witch. "She's doing alright. She's confused, she's conflicted. She's found some people she thinks she connects with, but she's doing alright."
As for whether she'll be joining Team Captain or Team Iron Man, Olsen said that when the images for both teams were released, she wasn't on either team.
"She wasn't there. She's always the wild card. I like being the Wild Card," she said.
Meanwhile, Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes in the "Captain America" films, is seen on Team Captain's side. In an interview with We Got This Covered, the actor said that fans should expect some "brutal fighting" in the movie.
"Very serious fighting like you haven't seen before, in any other film, which I'm really proud to say, and a whole lot of character and heart," Stan told the website.
In the comics, Bucky inherits the shield after Captain America dies, and when Stan was asked if he would be willing to take over the role, the actor said that he has given it some thought, but he is comfortable with how things are with his character.
"It's so not up to me," said Stan. "I love the character that I have. It's up to a lot of different things, and whatever Marvel decides, I'm game."
