The last DLC for the season for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is now live for the PlayStation 4.

The fourth expansion pack, dubbed "Salvation," brings the final chapter in the "Zombies" saga, "Revelations." The noted feature mode places players in the shoes of a shooter team as they try to fight their way against hordes of the undead. In "Revelations," the four characters – Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai – will eventually meet the mysterious Doctor Monty in The House.

Aside from the final chapter of the "Zombies" feature, the new "Salvation" DLC also adds new maps to the multiplayer gameplay for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." The new maps include two new locations and two re-imagined areas. The newlydesigned maps include Citadel, an abandoned classic castle; and Micro, a miniaturized picnic table. Meanwhile, the other two maps are remastered versions of classic areas from previous franchise games. Outlaw is a western-themed map taken from the Standoff location from "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" while Rupture is a re-imagined futuristic map from the classic Outskirts area from "Call of Duty: World at War."

In addition to the new DLC, a new patch has also gone live for the game. Update 1.16 is now live for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Meanwhile, as with the previous DLC releases, "Salvation" has only launched for the PS4 for the time being, since the expansion content is a timed-exclusive for the Sony console. Just like the previous "Descent" DLC however, the fourth expansion is expected to come out for the Xbox One and PC by next month. In addition, the new DLC is also only available for current-gen platforms, so PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will not get the update.

The "Salvation" DLC is part of the Season Pass for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," although it is also available as a stand-alone purchase for $14.99.
