FOX police comedy series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" once again managed to surprise fans with their fifth season's Halloween episode. Instead of another secret competitor claiming the title of "Amazing Human/Genius," Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) used the most recent Halloween heist to seal the deal with Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero).

Season 5's fourth episode titled "HalloVeen" involved all detectives in the annual heist, this time to claim a belt/cummerbund with the title. Claiming that she is one step ahead of everyone, Santiago was shocked to read the words "Will you marry me?" in the belt instead. The episode also highlighted Captain Ray Holt's (Andre Braugher) deeper competitive side as he dispatched his beloved cheddar to claim the belt, only to find out that cheddar was replaced by a different corgi whom Holt then called, "just some common b*tch."

There are several speculations that the season finale of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will be an episode revolving around Jake and Amy's wedding. One of the most talked-about episode rumor is the upcoming Thanksgiving episode wherein Jake and Amy's parents meet each other and talk about the newly engaged couple.

With Jake and Amy engaged, long-time fans of the show are worried that the producers and writers might add a dramatic element to the series, which has been known mainly for showing crazy and funny antics.

There are rumors about season 5 being the final season of the television series. Fans do not take this news very well and are demanding for more storyline involving other characters. Some wish lists from fans include more screen time for Holt's husband, Kevin Cozner (Marc Evan Jackson), and more funny anecdotes about the past of detectives Michael Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) and Norman Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller).

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on FOX. Episodes are also available for streaming on Hulu.
