In the next episode of "'Brooklyn Nine-Nine," DC Parlov (Fred Melamed) returns to the precinct and asks for help from Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and the cops to find his stolen manuscript.

The synopsis and trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Return to Skyfire" were just released recently and showed Parlov talking with Peralta and Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) about his missing draft of his latest novel. The cops however do not know that Parlov happens to be Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews) favorite author. Jeffords is ecstatic and wants to assist them with their investigation. They decide to go undercover at a fantasy fiction convention to catch the elusive culprit. They arrive at the gathering in their supposed costumes. Peralta is dressed like an elf with a green cape and pointed ears. Jeffords is a shirtless mighty warrior with a black cape. Rosa seems to be just wearing a leather jacket.

Later, the cops interrogate some suspected authors including Parlov's rival Landon Lawson (Rob Heubel). However, he manages to weasel his way out of the questioning and convince the cops that he is innocent. Meanwhile, Jeffords admits that he is writing a book of his own because of Parlov's inspiration. He is hoping that his fellow cops will support his writing efforts but they are usually not very generous with compliments. It remains to be seen if the cops will be able to catch the culprit and if Jeffords writing will be a hit.

In the last episode, Peralta and Amy Santiago's (Melissa Fumero) parents visited the engaged couple for Thanksgiving. Things took a bad turn but the couple was able to salvage the situation and make their parents like one another. Their whole family became closer in the process.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 5 episode 8 will air on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
