In the continuation of the "Naruto" franchise, the seventh Hokage's son, Boruto, is said to be disqualified from the ongoing Chunin exams.

The new chapter will be released this week, with the team of Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki joining the Chunin exams. Hardcore fans of the series will know that the first chapters of the new manga serialization is an adaptation of the last franchise movie, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," released last year. This leads to speculations that if the original movie will be adapted from the manga, the next chapters see the new team continue with the Chunin exams, with Boruto being disqualified even though he won in a test combat with Shikadai, the son of Shikamaru and Gaara's sister, Temari.

[SPOILER ALERT] In the movie, it is discovered that Boruto used a hidden device, made by the Science Ninja Weapons Team, in order to overpower his opponent. However, using this type of weapon is forbidden by the exam rules. Naruto, the seventh Hokage, discovered this and immediately ordered the disqualification of his son.

Meanwhile, in the course of the story, Naruto and Sasuke will try to take down the descendants of Kaguya, Momoshiki and Kinshiki. Their fight will end with Naruto being kidnapped due to his connection to Kurama the Kyuubi.

There are events in the movie showing what transpired before the exams which may also be presented in the manga series, possibly as flashbacks. Some of the events will build the relationship between Boruto and his father and will show how Naruto is having difficulties with both his work and personal life. Meanwhile, the pre-Chunin exam events in the movie may also be adapted to the manga to show how Sasuke becomes Boruto's master.

The third chapter of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" will be the 714th chapter in the entire "Naruto" manga franchise.
