'Bloodstained' to release to Wii U, may also get PS Vita version

 Kickstarter

After a favorable response from backers for their Kickstarter campaign, former "Castlevania" producer Koji Igarashi and Inti Creates game studio announced that the upcoming Metroidvania-style game "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night" will now come with a Wii U version.

Initially intended to reach $500,000 in funding to help cover developmental costs, pledges for the independent studio-released action-adventure game has now reached more than $3 million. On Sunday, a surge of backers pledged an additional $62,000 to help the game developers surpass the $3 million mark. This equips the company to include the Nintendo home console version when they release the game by March 2017.

The "Bloodstained" game developers promise to provide physical discs and digital copies for Wii U once the game is released. New backers and those who have supported the game earlier will be able to choose the Nintendo version during the post-Kickstarter survey. It will be available for those who back the game at $28+ tier, but those who back the game at the $125 Physical + Digital tier may choose Wii U to get either the physical or digital version, or both.

Armature Studio, tasked to create "Bloodstained" for the Wii U platform, plans to include various features in the game, including the Pro Controller support, the map on GamePad that can be seen while playing the game on TV, allowing players to draw on the map, playing the game exclusively on the GamePad itself, social integration on Miiverse, as well as the ability to feature Mii in-game.

Also, the game developers laid out their plans for the next goal achievements of their Kickstarter campaign for "Bloodstained." If they reach the $3,250,000 mark, then they will be able to offer a synchronous online multiplayer option to the game. And if they reach the $3,500,000 goal, Armature Studio will be able to develop the game for the PlayStation Vita console.

Those who are planning to back the Kickstarter project can help the game reach its future goals until June 13.
