Prior to the release of the upcoming action adventure role playing game "Bloodborne," developer From Software released its story trailer that showcases the gory details of the game that fans should look forward to.

The trailer that was first posted on IGN introduces several key characters that players will encounter as they course through the condemned city called Yharnham.

At the beginning of the video, the voice of a woman is heard as she welcomes players to their "home." It also shows that the game's main character appears to be bordering between the features of a man and a monster.

When the character arrived in Yharnam, he received a blood transfusion from someone who seems to be a doctor. But what is special in that blood? Players will find out as they navigate their way into the cursed city and go through all the adventures in the game.

Game software producer Masaaki Yamagiwa discussed the development of the game in the PlayStation Blog.

"I'm extremely excited that Bloodborne is just about complete, and I cannot wait to unleash it on the world and see how players react. The story campaign is a dark adventure that will deliver epic challenges and epic rewards from the very start. Plus, with our multiplayer and new Chalice Dungeon features, we are looking to deliver even more new ways for fans to connect, play, discover, and conquer new challenges than ever before," the game producer said.

"Bloodborne" reportedly features the same action role-playing elements that can also be seen in "Demon's Souls" and "Dark Souls," which happens to be from the same game development studio. It was hailed as the most anticipated game to be released this year by the readers of Game Informers in January.

"Bloodborne" is slated to be launched exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console on March 24 in North America and March 25 in Europe.
