Kaley Cuoco has gotten her wish and that's to take home a higher paycheck for her role as Penny in "The Big Bang Theory." She has signed the contract, which guarantees that Penny will definitely be in season 8.
Penny's story for season 8 is speculated to be focused on her wedding with Leonard. Season 7 ended with Leonard's proposal and Penny said yes. They were also planning to move-in together already. Even Cuoco thinks that season 8 will be focused on the wedding planning.
In an interview with Women's Health, Cuoco said that she doesn't know what will happen, but she hopes there's "a lot of wedding stuff" involved. "I think that would be really fun. If I had to guess, Leonard is probably more of the planner than Penny, which would be very funny," shared Cuoco.
Well, everyone is expecting the same thing, but during the San Diego Comic-Con, showrunner Steve Molaro said that they're not in a hurry to show the wedding. "A wedding is sometime off in the future. They're not in a rush. Penny's first goal is to put the date far enough in the future so everyone knows for a fact that she's not pregnant," he said, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Moreover, Penny is bound to have a new career in season 8. She will no longer be acting. Instead, she will work at Bernadetter's company as a pharmaceutical representative. And according to spoilers, Penny will earn good money, which can cause problems between her and Leonard.
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 returns on September 22.
