'Batman: Arkham Knight' release date for XBox One in early 2015

For everyone who is awaiting word for the release date of the "Batman: Arkham Knight" game, the retailers must have heard you. Microsoft posted the release date of the game in their online store. What's unsure is whether this post makes it official or whether Microsoft just made a mistake and accidentally leaked the information.

What happened? Microsoft posted the game "Batman: Arkham Knight" on its Microsoft Store. The release date on the site was stated for "2/24/2015." A NeoGaf member discovered this and posted it on a forum, according to Game Front. However, the version of the game posted is for Xbox One only.

Since there is no official announcement from Sony and Microsoft yet, this is still unconfirmed. On the other hand, it could also be the right date for the Xbox One version release. Sony should make another announcement for the PlayStation version.

Before E3, the official launch date of the game was October 2014. But when the trailer of the game was shown, it said that the game will be delayed. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the publisher of the game, said that the game's Window PC, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be released in 2015.

The voice of Batman Kevin Conroy confirmed this news with Groovey TV last week, saying "I have a massive game you may have heard of called 'Arkham Knight.'" He added, "It was supposed to come out in January, we've been working on it for a year and a half, it's still not done. So it's going to come out next January, but I know everyone is frustrated. The reason it's been delayed is because it's so awesome."

"Batman: Arkham Knight" will feature a new villain—the Arkham Knight. Other villains included in the game are Penguin, Harley Quinn and Scarecrow, reports Polygon.
