LONDON - The wife of Prince Edward, the Queen's youngest son, gave birth to a baby boy on Monday, Buckingham Palace announced.
The son of Sophie, the 42-year-old Countess of Wessex, is the Queen's eighth grandchild.
The parents were said to be "absolutely thrilled" after their son was born by caesarean section. They already have a four-year-old daughter -- Louise.
