Avalon Acknowledged by World Vision

|PIC1|Legendary Christian singing group Avalon was recently acknowledged by World Vision for their hard work and efforts that led more than 18,000 sponsors to help children worldwide.

During GMA Music Week in Nashville on April 3, 2006, World Vision sponsored a showcase featuring Avalon, alongside Natalie Grant, Matthew West, Casting Crowns, Third Day, and Russ Lee, and more. The artists gave personal testimonies aimed to encourage the audience to take action to make a difference in the world.

Avalon was joined on stage by musical legend Russ Taff to sing “We Will Stand.” The classic was penned by Russ and Tori Taff and James Hollihan and recorded by Avalon for their current release, STAND.

Jody McBrayer adds, "For me, child sponsorship is truly an amazing thing. Not only does it change the life of a child forever, but it also teaches us to appreciate every bit of what God has blessed us with."

Avalon is currently soaring beyond 3 million record sales worldwide and has recently been welcomed into the Women of Faith family, performing at 24 of the events in 2006, in addition to their current concert dates.
