At last, Dillard couple bares ministry site, says baby Israel is 'the talk of the town'

Derick and Jill Dillard say they are now spreading the Word of God in Central America, together with their son, Israel David. (Facebook/Duggar Family Official)

The Dillard family is in Central America!

The family finally made the announcement on the Dillard Family Blog and shared some updates about their new ministry. "We are so excited to announce that we have safely arrived on the mission field and we can now tell you that we are in Central America! Israel seems to be adjusting to the new climate, culture, food (via mom's milk), and language faster than Jill and I are. In fact, he has been the talk of the town," Derick and Jill wrote.

Everywhere they go, people are eager to see and hold the "big blue-eyed, white baby" and Derick and Jill could not be prouder of their little one.

Since they arrived, they were able to talk to their family members briefly and receive some updates, such as Amy Duggar's engagement to Dillon King and the arrival of Duggar grandbaby number five, Meredith Grace.

The Dillards have gotten busy sharing the Gospel to other people. Just a week ago, they said they were overjoyed to see an elderly woman give lordship of her life to Jesus Christ.

"This transpired just one day after her Christian son was restored to fellowship in his local church. We were at the man's house ministering to him with encouragement from God's Word when the opportunity was presented to share the hope of the Gospel with his mother," they shared. "It's our prayer, and we ask you to please pray with us, that many more would repent of their ways and turn to God's way for their life."

Derick and Jill are thanking God for protecting them and helping their ministry flourish one step at a time as well as their financial partners for all the support they have given to bring people closer to Christ.
