The next episode of the superhero television series "Arrow" will be the mid-season finale for season 6. Viewers will see Quentin (Paul Blackthorne) get kidnapped by Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) and Cayden (guest star Michael Emerson), who are looking to get hold of weapons of mass destruction in exchange for Quentin's life.
The incoming installment titled "Irreconcilable Differences," will also deal with how Oliver (Stephen Amell) and the rest of Team Arrow will approach their mission to save Quentin. Will they be able to take him out of harm's way before Black Siren and Cayden hurt him?
According to Cartermatt, the focus of the upcoming episode will be on characters who were not prominent in the crossover episode with "Crisis on Earth-X." It will center on Quentin whose future is uncertain after having gone through several tragedies. He is facing the risk of yet another one as he finds himself on the opposing end of Black Siren, Quentin's daughter from another Earth. He had the chance to kill her back in the fifth season, but was not able to as Cayden and his people were eventually able to bail them out.
After the mid-season finale for season 6, "Arrow" will be taking a mandatory break over the holiday season and should return to television screens by mid-January, most probably the second week. However, this is still subject to change with the Winter Olympics in mind, which has already been confirmed to affect other shows in the CW Television Network.
Aside from "Arrow," the fall finale dates for "Supergirl" and "Legend of Tomorrow" have also been confirmed which are scheduled for Dec. 4 and Dec. 5 respectively. Along with the schedule, CW has also publicized the synopses for the fall finales.
The mid-season finale of "Arrow" season 6 will air on Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
