Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers live stream (CBS): Watch NFL Thursday Night Football 2016 online

NFL Thursday Night Football takes place tonight with a big game between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers. Both teams come into today's game in poor form, and both in desperate need of a win. The game has a scheduled start time of 8.25 p.m. ET and takes place from the 49ers' Levi's Stadium in California. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS or NFL Network, or online through live stream via the link below.

Both teams come into Week 5 having suffered another bad loss last week, which leaves them both with a 1-3 record and in search for only their second victory of the season here today.

In Week 4 the Cardinals had a home game against the Los Angeles Rams, and despite heading into the fourth quarter with a small lead, they were unable to see the game out, and lost a third game of the season 17-13.

The 49ers also suffered a home loss in Week 4, losing out to the Dallas Cowboys in a 24-17 game. Things were level going in at half time as things were delicately poised for the second half, but it was the Cowboys who came out and did the business, which leaves the 49ers' season teetering on the brink.

Surely a fourth loss of the season for either team today would signal the end of their postseason hopes already. Even though there is still a long way to go until the end of the season, but it would take a massive turnaround for either of these teams to come back from 1-4, and there certainly have been no signs of such a comprehensive turnaround so far this season for either.

For Arizona, they will need to keep the ball much tighter than last week. Turnovers cost them dear in Week 4's game against the Rams, with Arizona giving up the ball a massive five times. Those turnovers completely undermined the Cardinals other good offensive work - they actually outgunned the Rams in yards gained easily by 420 to 288, but losing the ball at opportune moments stopped them converting those yards into points.

Meanwhile, the 49ers were at one point 14-0 up against the Cowboys last week before blowing things monumentally. They come into today's game at a crossroads, and they must finally step things up and get the job done - failure to do so again would more or less send them home with very little chance of a postseason berth.

Today's big NFL Thursday Night Football game between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers has a scheduled start time of 8.25 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS or NFL Networks, or online through live stream by clicking here.
