Apple MacBook with Retina specs: Thinner, powerful device now available

The brand-new MacBook Apple

Apple's radio silence about the MacBook Retina has slowly reduced the device to no more than a figment of people's imaginations. However, it was proven by the time the company's big "Spring Forward" event concluded that a new MacBook is, in fact, well on the cards.

The all-new MacBook device comes with a 12-inch Retina display, which should give users the highest resolution they have been longing to get. It is touted to be lighter and thinner (a mere 2 pounds) than every MacBook iteration Apple has ever released.

The brand-new device has a revamped trackpad complete with force sensors and tactic feedback. As predicted by rumor mills several months back, the new MacBook device has left out the fan, which eliminates the buzzing noise.

The design is pure metal and its screen panel only measures 0.88 mm. It also integrates a neat and beautiful backlit keyboard that features butterfly mechanism and an innovative connector called USB-C, which supports SB, Display Port, Power, HDMI and VGA. Color options include silver, space gray, and gold.

The insanely-thin MacBook Retina also promises longer battery life and by that, Apple means that the new doodad will allow nine hours of Internet surfing and 10 hours of playback. Under its hood are 1.1 and 1.2 GHz fifth-generation Intel Core M processors and 8 GB memory. The device comes in two models, one with 256 GB SSD and another that doubles that. The former is priced at $1,299 while the latter costs $1,599.

The new MacBook Retina is dubbed as "the world's most energy-efficient notebook" and the tech world will soon see as the device is now for the taking.
