Anne Graham Lotz invites people to pray, assuring them that one prayer can make a difference

Billy Graham's daughter Anne Graham Lotz is highlighting the importance of prayer, saying it's the best thing to do whenever people face difficulties and disasters.

"You're invited into prayer for a reason. You're invited to plunge the depths of prayer like Daniel did. And you're invited to usher in great and unsearchable gifts for a culture hungry, even starving for the truth that resides at the very heart of God. Can we afford to pray like Daniel? We can't afford NOT to," she wrote on her Facebook page.

Earlier, Lotz told the congregation at the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary that the whole world is in a mess, and the only thing that can cure it is prayer. America might think that it is facing a political and immigration problem, but Lotz said that in truth, America's real problem is sin.

She then challenged Christians to put aside the noise of the world and spend some quiet time with the Lord in prayer, according to the Western Recorder.

"So I don't know what the problems are in your world, but whatever they are, would you ask God to give you the promise to match it and then pray those to him?" she said.

People might doubt how a single prayer can make a difference in today's world. Lotz assures them that God is always listening and that the prayer of one person can indeed make a difference.

"You're not going to know until you choose to be that one person. Would you pray until God delivers his people and takes them home?" she asked.

Lotz has already written several books such as "Wounded by God's People," "Fixing My Eyes on Jesus," "Expecting to See Jesus" and "Heaven: God's Promise for Me."

Her talks on prayer can be found in her newest book, "The Daniel Prayer."
