LG L90 users can finally enjoy tinkering with their device with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, as the mobile brand announced that owners  of their affordable smartphone can now download the mobile operating system update.

According to GSM Arena, the dual-SIM version of the 4.7-inch mid-range device purchased in India can now update their Android KitKat operating system to Android 5.0 over-the-air. Although the update is only available in India at the moment, the worldwide market can also get hold of the Android Lollipop improvement for the LG L90 sometime soon.

NDTV Gadgets mentioned that the Google Android 5.0 Lollipop update version V20a-MAR-01-2015 is 780 MB in size.

Android 5.0 brings several new improvements, including the new Material Design user interface that offer features like the fluid animations, more colorful themes, as well as the impressive 3D Views.

Also, handsets with the Lollipop OS have a new lockscreen notification control, letting users view and reply to new messages directly even if the screen is still locked. It also includes the device's capacity to make sensitive content discreet by adjusting the settings for the notifications.

Once LG L90 users upgrade their devices to the Google Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system, they can also extend their battery life by as much as 90 minutes. They can talk to Google on the go if they need to get quick information about something such as directions, weather, among others.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update also includes multiple language support, including 15 languages in the Indian region such as Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

LG released the L90 smartphone in March last year. It comes with a Snapdragon 400 chipset and an 8-megapixel primary camera.
