Impoverished 76-year-old camper Lee Haase from Ham Lake, Minnesota finally found an "angel" to save him from a life of utter misery. The "angel" was a pizza delivery driver who, that day, delivered something more important than food: hope.

Her name is Angela Nguyen, a delivery driver working for Domino's Pizza, a USA Today report said.

During one of her runs, she noticed a tiny camper on the outskirts of Anoka County in Minnesota.

Curious, she went inside the 12-foot-long camper and found Haase. The old man told her that he had no family and living alone in extreme poverty after he was hit by a double whammy of misfortunes. First, his home was destroyed during a storm. Then his only son died in a snowmobile accident.

Nguyen found Haase living without heating facility, plumbing or running water. "Lee has told me that he's pretty much given up on life," she said.

She said she actually first saw the man last summer. During that time there seemed to be no problem with him "so I wasn't quite as concerned."

Last weekend, another Domino's Pizza driver found Haase shivering inside his camper, which has no heating facility.

The driver asked him how he plans to survive the coming winter.

"I'm not sure yet," Haase replied. "I've got to do something."

When Nguyen learned about this, she felt compelled to help the man.

"Living in this trailer with no heat, no sanitation whatsoever—he has no toilet—no water, nothing, is not acceptable to me," she said.

Last Saturday, she came over and gave him a heater. She also started a Go Fund Me page for Haase. The public's response was nothing short of awesome, as far as Haase was concerned. Total strangers came over and donated food and money.

"It's hard to explain [how I feel]," said a clearly overjoyed Haase. "Just pretty awesome."

And there's more good news coming his way. A construction company called up Nguyen on Tuesday morning and offered to build a small house for Haase to help him go through winter.
