Now that "American Horror Story: Cult" has just concluded, fans and viewers want to know what is in store for the next season of creator Ryan Murphy's successful horror anthology.

In the eighth installment of the series which has no official title yet, there are some clues as to what fans can expect from the mind of Murphy and his writers. First of all, Sarah Paulson will return for the next chapter. She is Murphy's favorite muse and has appeared in all seasons portraying different characters. Paulson has expressed that she is very excited for the upcoming narrative which Murphy shared to her recently.

The idea for the coming season is based on a post Murphy shared on Instagram, where he wrote all the titles of the seasons and the corresponding themes. However, there are two remaining themes namely lust and violence, with no season titles yet. It seems that the eighth season will either be about lust or violence. This, apparently, has Paulson very interested.

Aside from this, the new chapter will reportedly be a crossover between season 1's "Murder House" and 3's "Coven." If this is true, it is likely that fans will see flashbacks of these shows and the characters in them. It remains to be seen though what the final synopsis will be in next year's installment.

In the recent finale of season 7, Ally Mayfair-Richards played by Paulson confronted cult leader Kai Anderson (Evan Peters) on stage at a political convention. They exchanged several harsh words before he was shot in the head by news reporter Beverly Hope (Adina Porter). Mayfair-Richards was triumphant once again.

The eighth season of "American Horror Story" is expected to arrive in 2018. Murphy has said that he wants to wrap up the series before Christmas, therefore, the show is likely to come in September.
