LG G4 release date nears; rumored specs, alleged images surface

Several leaked images of a new smartphone have surfaced, and they are allegedly those of the highly awaited new flagship device from LG. One of the users on XDA Developers leaked the photos, which are claimed to be of the upcoming LG G4.

At the first glance, the device shown looks a lot like the previously released LG G3, but upon closer examination, several subtle changes can be seen on the item. For instance, the camera module and the buttons of the new device have no difference from its predecessor, but it is noticeably given a black color this time. The handset also seems to have the same aluminum chassis, but it is hard to tell from the photo if the body is not made from a plastic material. The device also has the same speaker, power button and flash location as the LG G3.

However, the added stylus located at the top left portion of the device can be clearly seen. This is not present in the existing LG G3. The shape of the camera sensors are noticeably different from its predecessor, which is why most of the speculations about it claim that the image just might be the new LG G4.

GSM Arena reports that the LG G4 will come out with a 5.3-inch touchscreen display with the LG G Pen stylus. It will also feature a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 processor with an Adreno 430 graphics processor. Allegedly, the device will come with a 16-megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash, as well as a 5-megapixel secondary shooter for selfie shots.

If rumors turn out to be true, then the public will see the new LG G4 in the market next month.
