'Destiny: The Taken King' DLC: Alleged collab with Red Bull leaked on Twitter

While Bungie's "Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves" is still making waves in the market after its release last month, gamers seem to have more to look forward to this year. A leaked promotional material from a popular energy drink revealed what appears to be the next expansion pack for the best-selling first-person shooter game.

Twitter user Agrios Endendros recently spotted several marketing materials from Red Bull, where the boxes are clearly stamped with "Destiny's" logo. It seems like the energy drink brand inked a deal with Bungie and Activision for collaboration, but the most interesting detail in the leak is the title, "The Taken King."

In his first post about Red Bull's "Destiny: The Taken King" promo, an image of what seems to be a side portion of a packaging box shows the alleged DLC logo, and instructions to redeem a set of codes from the inside pack at redbullquest.com for "bonus XP now & epic quest in Destiny: The Taken King."

Then the Twitter user posted another image showing the front portion of the box this time. While the image does not show "The Taken King" logo, it still features the "Destiny" logo in a small portion on the upper right side of the packaging.

This is not the first time that a leak about "Destiny's" alleged next DLC surfaced online. Early last month, Bungie reportedly registered several trademarks and a logo for "The Taken King." This led to speculations that the title will be used for the next expansion pack for the game.

Most players earlier thought that Activision will be releasing just one expansion pack per year, since "The Dark Below" came out in 2014 and "The House of Wolves" was unveiled this year. But it seems like the next DLC for the game is being prepped for reveal this fall, which means that "The Taken King" could be coming out sometime between September and November.

However, Bungie, Activision, and even Red Bull have yet to confirm the validity of the leak as of the moment.
