Ladies and gentlemen, there are some things that only a wife can do to her husband. A man can have many friends, have thousands of acquaintances, achieve hundreds of awards or recognitions, but only a wife can do something to him that others cannot.

A Privilege and a Calling
Being married to your spouse is a terrific thing, something that is both a privilege and a calling from God.
First, it's a privilege to be given that one partner who will stick it out in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, 'til death do you part. No other person outside of your marriage relationship gets to do that to you.
Second, it's a call that God makes in the life of a single man and woman. Some might consider it scary to "tie the knot," as they say, but in reality it's a great joy and delight: Knowing that God entrusted your spouse to you and you to your spouse is a tremendously gratifying thing. Knowing that your beloved is yours and you are your beloved's is simply divine.
I don't mean to make you feel romantic here, but the truth is that God is the author of all satisfying, holy, and righteous romances. And in this article I hope to share to you something dear to me – something that only my wife has and will ever do to me, her husband.
1. Satisfy Me in All Aspects
Aside from the Lord, a husband should learn to find his satisfaction in his wife alone, not in another. Be it physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, spiritually, and yes, sexually, let your wife be the only one who will satisfy you, next to God.
Only a wife has the right to her husband's body, eyes, ears, imaginations, and even his sexual cravings. All these belong to her. She is the rib that was taken away from him while he was asleep. She is the partner suitable or comparable to him.
She is God's answer to his being alone. She is her God-given partner helping him to pursue God. Yes, all these satisfying things are only found in your wife.
2. Be My Sole Lifelong Companion and Partner in All Things
My wife is the only who committed to me, and I to her. The vows we made during our wedding ceremony weren't mere speeches that were said as part of the ceremony. They are promises to love each other for the rest of our lives no matter what happens.
This kind of commitment can only be between a man and his wife, and no one else. No friend, colleague, acquaintance, or family member ever comes close.
3. Be My Encourager and Shoulder to Cry On – and Vice-Versa
My wife is the first person I talk to when I'm down and out. Next to God, she's the one who listens to me intently, comforts me when I'm hurt, encourages me when I'm discouraged, rebukes me when I'm wrong, teaches me what I need to learn from her, hears my sobs and wailing and sees the tears in my eyes, gives me tissue when I cry so hard my nose cries with me, and loves me to bits.
Best of all, she's the first and most important person in my life who reminds me that God loves me more than I could ever comprehend.
Cherish Your Wife (or Future Wife if You're Still Single)
Gentlemen, cherish your wives. God specifically gave you just one because she's all that you'll need, desire, and long for in a human partner. Honour God by loving her the way Christ loved the church (see Ephesians 5:25).
