19 Kids and Counting's Duggar family keep Christ at heart of their Christmas card

The Duggars' latest holiday card is their biggest yet.

Released just this Tuesday, the card shows the 28 members of the '19 Kids and Counting' clan amidst a snowy backdrop.

Printed above the family's picture are the words "Happy Birthday Jesus!" Below is the greeting "Merry CHRISTmas from the Duggar Family."

The card also features a scriptural passage from Isaiah that reads "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace."

The photo of the large family shows Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar at the centre, surrounded by their 19 children and extended family, including Jessa's husband Ben Seewald, Jill's husband Derick Dillard, and Josh's wife Anna. Completing the picture are Jim Bob's mum, Mary, three children-in-law, and three grandchildren.

The brood is set to grow still as Jill is expecting her first child (a baby boy), while her sister-in-law Anna is pregnant with her fourth child. Both are due next year.

But Christmas is more than just posing for photographs and sending holiday cards for the Duggars, who have gone to El Salvador just last week for their annual mission trip.

On Friday, the family posted pictures of their trip on their official Facebook page with this message: "We are having such a wonderful time. One thing is certain, God's love and care for people is indeed universal! He so loved the world."

Speaking about the family's traditions, Michelle wrote on the Duggars' personal website, "The whole joy of this time of year for our family is focused on the birth of Jesus. That's what we're celebrating on Christmas."

Michelle added, "In our home, the focus of the season is not on getting, but on what we can give to the less fortunate. We go on mission trips to El Salvador. We go to soup kitchens in our area. We reach out to the poor and the needy to help those who have so little. I think the definition of the word 'love' pretty well sums it up."
