'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege' news: 'Operation Black Ice' DLC screenshots leak

 Ubisoft

Supposedly, the new "Operation Black Ice" expansion pack for the first-person shooter "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" will come out before the month ends. However, due to delays, the release date was set back and is now scheduled with an early release next month. Prior to the new Feb. 2 release date, screenshots of the new DLC already leaked online.

According to iDigitalTimes, a new trailer allegedly from Ubisoft Mexico was recently seen online. Although the video was already taken down, screenshots of the footage have already been captured and made their way online. The industry follower mentioned that most of the screenshots have been about the two upcoming Operators of the game, personnel from the Canadian Task Force.

The two operatives, Buck and Frost, represent two new additions to both Attack and Defense Operators in "Rainbow Six Siege." Buck is an Attack Operator character with a skill called Skeleton Key, letting players arm the operative with an under-barrel shotgun as a secondary accessory to a main weapon of choice, either a CAMRS marksman rifle or a C8-SFW assault rifle. The add-on complements the range for each of the main weapon, letting Buck deal damage for either mid- or close-range shooting.

Meanwhile, PlayStation Lifestyle listed Frost as having a Welcome Mat skill as a Defense Operator. This allows players to lay a mechanical trap that can incapacitate enemies.

The industry follower added that Buck and Frost will be available for all players. Those who continuously play the game can get the two new operators for 25,000 Renown, or they can purchase the characters for an equivalent of $4.99 of in-game currency. Video Gamer added that Season Pass holders might get ahold of the two new operators earlier than most, as they will be available exclusively a week before the general roll-out.
