'The Witcher 3' Blood and Wine DLC release date: Trailer gives glimpse at Toussaint's beauty and beast

CD Projekt Red has released a brand-new trailer for "The Witcher 3" Blood and Wine, the final and the biggest DLC for the game. The clip gives fans a good look at Toussaint, the new region from the DLC.

"The Witcher 3" Blood and Wine DLC trailer started off with a cheerful tone, as the narrator enumerates everything stellar about Toussaint.

The colorful new town provided folks there with a simple life. It is packed with monsters and beasts as well as beautiful maidens and hidden treasures, which "The Witcher 3" players will certainly come across in Blood and Wine.

Although a place of wonder and richness, Toussaint is haunted by a beast that only Geralt of Rivia will be able to stop. That being said, as "The Witcher 3" players explore the good side of the town in Blood and Wine, they will also have to keep in mind the core mission—to rid the beautiful place of the beast that prowls the night.

"The Witcher 3" Blood and Wine DLC will be the last of the beloved dark fantasy open world action role-playing series, contrary to the rumors that a new title in "The Witcher" franchise is in the works.

"I can assure you we are not working on another Witcher," CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwinski told Eurogamer, dousing the rumors about "The Witcher 4."

"This is the end. Blood and Wine is [the] closing and there won't be any Witcher any time soon--if there ever will be one," he continued.

Iwinski's statement implied that if there will be another "The Witcher" game, it will take a long time before it sees the light of day. After all, CD Projekt Red has its attention on an entirely new IP.

"We don't have anything planned as of now to be honest on the next Witcher. As we said before, never say never [but] right now it's really Blood and Wine," Iwinski continued.

"The Witcher 3" Blood and Wine DLC will be available on May 31.
