"The Flash" fans are at the edge of their seats as the Scarlet Speedster's ultimate showdown with the Reverse Flash is looming. Apart from the unfolding of Harrison Wells a.k.a. Eobard Thawne's endgame and Barry's definitive moment to get justice for his mother and get his father out of prison, viewers of the hit DC Comics adaptation also have more mysteries that boggle their minds.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently told TV Line the things the finale will address, one of which is the explanation behind Cisco's ability to recall a memory from an alternate timeline deemed non-existent. Kreisberg said the season finale will delve into that but comic book fans already know where this one is headed.

[Potential spoilers ahead] In the comics, Cisco has already assumed a superhero alter ego named Vibe, who can effortlessly transport to different dimensions whenever he wants to. This suggests that Cisco from TV series will jump into his fate as soon as season 2.

On the other hand, Kreisberg also mentioned that the death of Barry's mother will be fleshed out. Throughout the season, fans have been led to believe that Reverse Flash had no intention of killing Nora but did it anyway. The finale of the series will dig up the mystery that surrounds the event that changed Barry's life forever.

The synopsis for the finale titled "Fast Enough" says that the fastest man alive will team up with Firestorm and Oliver Queen (the League uniform-donning version of him) to take down the Reverse Flash and clean up the mess caused by the mistake of teaming up with Captain Cold, who adds to The Flash's trouble by letting loose all captured meta-humans.

The season 1 finale of "The Flash" will air on May 19.
