A report from a magazine recently claimed that Adam Levine will be taking a year off from coaching in reality singing television show "The Voice," explaining that the 38-year-old singer-songwriter will skip the 14th season of the show to spend more time with his wife Behati Prinslo who is pregnant with their second child.

In the current edition of Life & Style magazine, an insider supposedly told the publication that "The Maroon 5 singer is talking about vacating his rotating red chair for a year," adding that "He wants to be at home and chase after his kids."

However, a report from NBC Universal Media Village in October had previously mentioned Levine's commitment for the upcoming season of "The Voice" when it announced the return of singer-songwriter Alicia Keys to the coaching staff saying, "The chemistry between Alicia, Kelly, Adam, and Blake will make for a wildly unpredictable and compelling season 14!"

Additionally, the Blind Auditions for next season have already taken place in the exact same week of the announcement and tickets for the Battle Rounds which will be held in January are already available. This means that Levine has already started participating in the 14th season and will not be taking a year off in 2018 as contended by the magazine. If he does decide to take a year off from "The Voice," it won't be happening until 2019 at the earliest if he opts out of the show's 15th season, but coaches for that season will not be announced until next summer.

Levine was awarded the Sexiest Man Alive title by PEOPLE magazine in 2013 and during his reign, he tied the knot with 28-year-old Prinslo. He had previously revealed that getting the title helped him marry his model wife saying it is both an ego boost and an honor.
