"Superstore" is officially returning for more new episodes.

NBC has renewed the single-camera sitcom for a fourth season, according to reports. News of the early renewal comes as the show airs its 22-episode third installment.

"'Superstore' is one of our signature NBC comedies, and we're so pleased to be bringing it back for the 2018–19 season," NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said about the renewal.

"This clever comedy, featuring America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, and an incredibly talented ensemble cast, is a source of pride for the comedy team at NBC and I'm personally gratified that it has connected with audiences and critics alike," continued Tracey Pakosta, NBC Entertainment's Co-President for Scripted Programming.

"Superstore" continues to post higher ratings this season. The series is up 6 percent compared to its previous installment. Latest numbers from Nielsen show that season 3 has an average of 5.195 million total viewers and a 1.7 rating.

Additionally, the sitcom has established itself as a strong performer on alternative platforms. It increased to a 2.9 in the 18-49 demo when 35 days of non-linear viewership is added to the rating.

Debuted in November 2015, "Superstore" centers on Amy (America Ferrera) — the most dedicated and dependable employee of the fictional big-box store Cloud 9. She is joined by fellow employees Jonah (Ben Feldman), Garrett (Colton Dunn), Mateo (Nico Santos) and Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom).

Tasked to oversee the entire store is Glenn (Mark McKinney), the often clueless manager. Also part of the crew is Dina (Lauren Ash), Cloud 9's aggressive assistant manager who makes sure to enforce the store's policies with an iron fist.

Following its renewal, "Superstore" joins previously renewed shows in the 2018–2019 lineup including "The Good Place," "This is Us" and "Will & Grace." NBC also recently ordered a new drama titled "The Gilded Age," which is Julian Fellowes' long-awaited follow-up to "Downton Abbey." The said series is slated for a 2019 premiere.

"Superstore" season 4 is expected to premiere later this year on NBC.
