Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge release date, specs news: Samsung to launch new curved device

Does Samsung truly have a Galaxy Note 5 planned? Better yet, does the phablet exist?

To date, there is no word on whether such a device exists. However, there are those who believe that there is and it may likely be introduced come IFA in September. Normally, Samsung would launch their devices a day before the said event to the press so expect it to be unveiled earlier.

Do remember that should there be an actual Samsung Galaxy S5, it may probably be available a month after. But before we get into that, we have to see if the phablet will come out.

Assuming that it does come out, would a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge be far behind? Rumors believe that there is and it may come in two variants – a flat and curved variety similar to what the Galaxy S6 came out with. And of course we all know how snazzy the Galaxy S6 Edge came out so more or less you can depict how the Galaxy Note 5 may come out though integrated into a larger form factor device.

However, if that were true, phablet users may find some concern regarding it, especially when you think about the Stylus it is expected to come with. Would a stylus work well with a curved design?

Regardless, rumors have been suggesting certain features the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will carry. The list includes specs such as a 5.4 or 5.5 inch curved AMOLED display, something that would run on a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with 16GB of storage in tow.

It may also come with a 16MP main camera and a front-facing 8 MP camera and of course the Note Series patented S-Pen. So would these specs be enough to entice you to consider getting one?

Before you answer that, some may be apprehensive as far as how much it would cost. With the curved display angle and higher specs, it may be more expensive. Then again, there are people who don't mind, especially if the device is worth buying.
