In the next episode of "Riverdale" season 2, Archie Andrews (K.J. Apa) and Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) work hand in hand to take down the Black Hood.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Silent Night, Deadly Night" was released recently and it shows Archie and Betty hunting down the notorious criminal on their own.

"This is the part where we stop the Black Hood. But right now, I need you with me," Archie says to Betty seriously.

They go to a remote house and investigate the possible origins of the perpetrator. The person living there appears to know the suspect and takes out an old photo album. He then points to a young man in a picture who could possibly be the Hood.

Archie may catch a break and will start to follow this lead. However, their investigation will end up with Betty getting chased with a gun pointed at her.

Meanwhile, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) wants to play a bigger part in her family's business.

"The time for being daddy's little girl is over," she says to her friends.

She goes back to her lavish house and sits in her father's office chair behind the big desk to feel a sense of power.

"She deserves to know the truth," her mom Hermione (Marisol Nichols) says to the family patriarch Hiram (Mark Consuelos).

In the last episode, Jughead Jones' (Cole Sprouse) dad FP (Skeet Ulrich) was released from jail and said that he would not return to the Southside Serpents. However, after his gang threw a party for him as a show of appreciation, he decided to go back to being the leader of the group. Jughead was none too pleased with his decision.

"Riverdale" season 2 episode 9 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
