The third season of the animated hit show from Adult Swim titled "Rick and Morty" just finished its run. Fans, however, do not have to wait around too long for the upcoming installment as show creator Justin Roiland says that he is in the process of making more episodes for it.

Roiland spoke to EW recently and said that he has plans to produce 14 episodes in the fourth season. He did only 10 this year, but he felt he could have done more episodes. Roiland clarified what he meant with this statement, "I'm still learning how to do the show efficiently while catering to the perfectionist in all of us. I would like to think I've learned enough from my mistakes in season 3 that we could definitely do 14 now."

The cartoon writer seems somewhat confident that he can create 14 episodes in the coming season but still feels that the goal is a bit daunting. He had a regrettable experience before when he ran the comedy show "Community" on NBC many years ago. "I fell apart in season 3 of 'Community' and got fired in season 4. Now I'm about to do season 4 of 'Rick and Morty' and want to prove that I've grown," Roiland expressed.

"Community" ran for six seasons and was considerably successful. However, Roiland faltered along the way and seemingly does not want to commit the same mistakes with "Rick and Morty."

In related news, the third season of the hit show was the most-watched ever since Adult Swim went on the air. However, more impressive was the record that 11 million people tuned in to the surprise livestream of the season 3 premiere on April Fools' Day.

There has been no official announcement about the release date of "Rick and Morty" season 4. Stay tuned for more reports as the situation unfolds.
