According to the latest rumors, the sequel to "Red Dead Redemption" might be released this fall. The subsidiary that will be directly responsible for the creation of "Red Dead Redemption 2" had earlier opened up 35 new job openings to join its development squad, indicating that the studio is on to something huge.

The open world, western action adventure video game was developed by one of Rockstar Games' subsidiaries, Rockstar San Diego, which was also responsible for rolling out one of the most critically acclaimed titles of all time, "GTA V." Similar to "GTA," the upcoming sequel to "Red Dead Redemption" will feature an even bigger environment than its predecessor.

John Marston is speculated to return as the primary protagonist that players will be controlling and, similar to the previous title, the player will progress in the game with the use of various firearms to engage with enemies in combat-related situations and different forms of transport in order to traverse the vast environment.

One of the reasons why Rockstar Games will be looking to release a sequel as soon as possible is because the 2010 title was a critical and financial success, selling approximately 13 million copies.

The aforementioned statistics are enough to speculate that Rockstar Games will be catering to console owners. Similar to the previous title, "Red Dead Redemption 2" is likely to be rolled out only to the Xbox and PlayStation consoles, although the developing studio has not yet given word whether or not the title will be compatible with previous generation consoles.

It is also expected that the title will be showcased at the E3 2015 event this June. According to The Christian Post, there are reports that the game will be released in November.
